Camp W Day Camp is located in Long Island. It is situated on the Birchwood Intermediate   School campus, at 121 Wolf Hill Road, in Melville, NY 11747. Registration is still open and   parents and prospective campers are invited to call 631-692- 6222 to tour the camp while in   session. In addition, prospective campers are also invited to spend a FREE day at camp and   either sign up for an upcoming week or next summer.   The camp is centrally located near many towns in Long Island including Dix Hills, South   Huntington, West Hills, Plainview, Old Bethpage, Syosett, Farmingdale, Commack, Wheatley   Heights, Wyandach, Woodbury, Levittown and Lindenhurst. Campers come from many of these   Long Island towns to enjoy camp at Camp W Day Camp.   Long Island stretches east-northeast from the NY Harbor to the Atlantic Ocean. While Long   Island comprises four counties: Kings, Queens, Nassau and Suffolk, Camp W is located in Suffolk   County.   In addition, Long Island is said to be the most populated island of any US state or territory, with   an estimated population of 7,838,722 in 2105. That is a lot of people, many of whom have   children looking to attend a day camp like Camp W. It is also the 11 th largest island in the US   The Long Island Expressway (LIE) and the Northern State Parkway, which are two of the busiest   highways and major points of entry in and out of New York City, pass right through Melville,   which makes it a convenient Long Island town to drop kids off in for camp.
